Squozen is an installation piece which captures my experience as a teen of being trapped in a strange world I didn’t fit, yet I was somehow part of it. I still have these feelings sometimes. - Ji Lee
Star Sand, found only on a few beaches in southern Japan, is made up entirely of the calcified shells of marine protozoa that once lived on the ocean floor.

Architectural Vacuums by Frank Halmans
It took me awhile to realize what was going on here, but the Dutch artist Frank Halmans takes the interior of vacuums and transforms them into miniature houses. Dirt/dust is then purposefully sucked into the interior of these tiny houses to show all the things, memories, “dust” that we collect and thus clutter up our lives, both physically and mentally.
A really interesting use of miniature, I think.

Hello new followers!
I just started back a new semester and have been a bit pressed for time (already).
But I hope to post some more soon and fill up my queue so this blog doesn’t look so abandoned!
Thanks for following :)
